Hands-on Workshop
Build Your First Training Course
Palo Alto
June 9, 2016

You can do it. We can help.

Build Your First Software Training Course.

You work for a fast-growing software company. You have been asked to develop and deliver training to your customers, but you just don't know where to start.

Well...you have come to the right place.

We created this workshop, as a supplement to a book we wrote called Ad Hoc Hell: A ServiceRocket Guide to Developing Your First Software Training Coursefor anyone at an fast-growing software company who has been asked to train customers and develop training programs, but who has never really done it before.

The process can be daunting, so we intended to demystify it.

In this workshop, you will learn to:

  • Conduct a training needs analysis and prioritize your list of courses based on business and customer needs.
  • Create a design document using the elements of an effective software training course.
  • Develop the right content that is the most effective means for teaching what your course needs to cover

This is a hands-on workshop. You will leave with a working rough draft outline of an actual course design document that you can take back to your work and use to finish developing your course.

If this interests you, register now and come join us at our office in midtown Palo Alto for a morning of learning and networking with your peers.

  1. None, really...except that you should be somehow responsible for customer education efforts and are seeking help in doing that.
  2. It would be helpful if you have read the Ad Hoc Hell ebook. Not required however.

Just bring a laptop or a notebook for taking notes.

You will be provided a workbook for note-taking and for building your course design plan.

Drinks and light snacks will be served.
